ChristianWorks is looking for an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper in the FT Worth, TX office.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Provides administrative support for all agency programs, and development and communication departments. Duties include bookkeeping and data entry, AR/AP, creating and distributing reports, completing assigned projects, general reception duties, creating documents and spreadsheets, filing, and faxing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills. Coordinates all work with Office Manager and other Administrative Assistants.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Executes daily financial functions including payments and receipts; completes data entry tasks correctly and timely.
2. Prepares routine financial reports and assists with preparing budgets as instructed.
3. Professionally and courteously receives telephone calls and visitors. Assesses needs and then provides assistance or directs calls or visitors to the appropriate staff.
4. Executes all daily tasks for mail handling including delivery, receipt, postage meter, and distribution.
5. Maintains paper and electronic files necessary for administrative purposes according to all policies.
6. Assists with clerical tasks to include typing, filing, proofreading, and data entry.
7. Assists Office Manager and agency program staff with various projects as needed.
8. Ensures that common areas are equipped with supplies, and places orders for routine supplies as needed, or for supply requests from program managers.
9. Maintains working knowledge of all office equipment, and informs supervisor of service needs.
10. Maintains good working relationship with vendors and service providers.
11. Maintains a working knowledge of and adheres to organization policies, regulations and procedures. throughout the employment period
12. Keeps immediate supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts and problems/potential problems identified; recommends corrective actions to immediate supervisor.
13. Respects confidentiality in discussing client, staff, volunteer and organizational matters. Maintains confidentiality of organization’s fiscal, personnel, and client related information at all times.
14. Exhibits genuine concern for clients, works effectively with others, and always conducts oneself appropriately and professionally.
15. Ability to follow instructions furnished in verbal or written format
16. Reports to work regularly and on time.
17. Assists in other duties as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Able to work 3 or 4 days per week. Typical schedule will be Tuesday – Friday, but will need to switch one day to Monday occasionally. General work hours are 9am to 5pm.
2. Valid Texas driver's license
3. High School Diploma required, Business School or College degree desired
4. Three years’ experience in office procedures and bookkeeping required
5. AR/AP Experience desired
6. Experience with non-profits desired
7. Bilingual English and Spanish desired
8. Advanced general computer and internet research skills
9. Advanced skills in typical office software including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
10. Experience working with QuickBooks or other accounting software
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
12. Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as a team player maintaining healthy work relationships
13. Strong organizational skills
14. Bilingual English / Spanish: reading, writing, and conversing desirable
15. Ability to work independently and with a minimum of supervision
16. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
17. Ability to operate various word processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs
18. Ability to organize, prioritize, and utilize effective time management techniques to meet deadlines and company goals
19. Ability to comfortably work in a faith-based environment and a Christian actively engaged in ministry as a member of a local church
20. Ability to create and foster an environment consistent with agency culture, mission, vision, and values
