Position Description-Chattanooga TN
Cygnus Payments, a Financial Technology (FinTech) Payments company, is seeking talented sales consultants, in the Chattanooga Tennessee area, to become a member of our growing sales force. Cygnus has state-of-the-art suite cloud based FinTech products that assist small business owners (SBO’s) with robust solutions to maximize growth and revenue retention. We are seeking tech savvy, results driven sales hunters for our FinTech Sales Consultant role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting, closing, and implementing FinTech solutions including five different POS systems, payment processing, small business lending along with additional product lines in the retail, restaurant, manufacturing, medical and hospitality sectors. The candidate will be expected to use and be familiar with various attraction strategies to include prospecting (both in person and digital demand), Referral Partnerships and Telemarketing.
The successful candidate should have minimum of two years outside sales experience with one year in the payments space preferable, but not required. The successful candidate must have strong skills in math and a disciplined rigorous approach to managing one’s time working in a remote position.
This position includes a comprehensive compensation package that includes a base salary, Commissions, Residual Income and Bonus along with medical and dental benefits.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent at performing basic math
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Live in the Chattanooga TN area
Preferred Qualifications For Consideration
• Bilingual skills a plus
• Experience in a quota driven self-sourcing sales environment for small to medium size clients
• Merchant payment sales experience
• Associates Degree or equivalent college experience
