PeopleReady of Wilmington, NC is now hiring Traffic Technicians! As a Traffic Technician, you will control vehicle traffic by notifying drivers of the need for reduced speeds or restricted lane flow on roadways, parking lot or construction sites.

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $15 / hour
What you'll be doing as a Traffic Technician:

• Work with team to establish safe movement of traffic around work zone, in accordance with safety regulations and/or Department of Transportation regulations
• Flag motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead
• Take ownership of work zone and pass vehicles safely
• Place signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices- duties will vary according to job assignment
• Respond to emergencies as directed and perform tasks in the interest of public safety and property protection during emergencies

Available shifts:
Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Communication skills required - Traffic Technicians remain in constant contact with the crew
• Remain in a stationary position for long periods at a time
• Possess a valid Traffic Technician certification - PeopleReady will help provide this training
• Flagging project to be completed in Trent Woods area of North Carolina
• Drug screen required
• Background Check Required
