Job Title: Cloud Solution Architect (AWS)

Location: Washington, DC (Remote)

Hire Type: Contract



Job Description:

Experience: 12+ Years

Good hands-on experience in AWS, Linux & Middleware - Platform as a Service
(PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

Managing full AWS lifecycle, provisioning, automation, security

Strong knowledge in managing & trouble-shooting Linux OS & Middleware
components (APACHE HTTPD APACHE TOMCAT AND NGINX)

Good knowledge in Atlassian products - CONFLENCE JIRA BAMBOO AND FISHEYE

Hands-on experience with EC2, ECS, ELB, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM, API, SQS, RDS,
Lambda, Cloud Watch, STorage Gateway, Cloud Formation, Elastic Beanstalk, ELK
and Atoscale

Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server
instance, storage instances, subnets, high availability zones, etc

Experience in guiding the classification, plan, implementation, growth,
adoption and compliance to enterprise architecture strategies, processes and
standards

Strong knowledge in Containers, Docker/K8s, Container Security, Image
management, deployments, K8s Clustering, Network policies, Storage, Auto-scaling

Ability to design and manage cloud-based infrastructures to deliver the
required performance, security and availability requirements

Expertise in architecture blueprints and detailed documentation. Very good
billing knowledge of AWS components

Proficient in working with high availability environment along with Database
skills - Connectivity between database and application

Ability to drive the standard methodologies and market trnds pertaining to
cloud and overall industry

Ability to perform Cost Optimization, provide recommendations and handle
billing

Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed
targets/goals and with creative approach to work

Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time
management

Proven interpersonal skilla while contributing to team effort by
accomplishing related results as needed

Demonstrated expertise in scripting skills - Python Java, Powershell, and
Kinux shell scripting

Working knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery principles

Very good understanding of Application functionality and its integration with
AWS cloud infrastructure (basic understanding of Agile would be added advantage)

Technical knowledge and administrator experience of AWS and its services
(e.g. Console Access, Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer, Compute Optimizer,
Reserved instances)

Provide effective resource utilization management to continue to drive down
cost
