Print Production Manager

S. Walter Packaging is looking for a Printing Production Manager!

Position Summary:
Ensures efficiencies, quality & timely completions of the printing operations. Effectively coordinates staging of jobs to be printed, ensures the jobs are properly prioritizes and distributed to the appropriate staff, and to maximize print production efficiently. Helps troubleshoot issues and knows the set-up of machines.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a printing supervision/management
Must have strong time management, self-motivating, and self-managing skills with a high degree of creativity and analytical ability
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have strong people management skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Must be an enthusiastic team member who is able to devote significant time and effort to schedule management while being detail-oriented

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate staging of all materials required for production of each job
• Supervise production staff to ensure they are following established policy and procedures
• Administer quality standards and make decision where needed
• Complete daily staffing, cost, quality, delivery, shift supervisor, daily print production, and various other reports
• Troubleshoot machine and printing issues
• Participate in required daily production scheduling meetings
• Maintain and update scheduling management tools and books
• Administer employee disciplinary processes and procedures
• Assist in the development and administer training programs, techniques, and activities on your shift
• Encourage and facilitate the continued development and improvement of current and prospective press operators
• Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Information:
• 3 years prior printing experience
• 5 years of production management experience
