Role description and opportunities

Our Marketing and Communications Analysts have a critical role in supporting BNY Mellon’s line of business initiatives. Analysts benefit from hands-on learning and mentoring opportunities, working with marketing leaders and business partners. Responsibilities include supporting campaigns and integrated marketing and communications plans, developing go-to-market positioning and messaging, upholding the brand in all activities, supporting and reporting for various marketing and communications strategies, including digital marketing, social media, client engagement and new business development.

Marketing and Communications Analysts are intellectually curious, possess grace under pressure, enjoy collaboration with colleagues and influencers, and deliver high-quality results and impact with urgency.

Key responsibilities include the following

Work with marketing leadership to build and execute go-to-market strategies
Create social media strategies and work with spokespeople to amplify the brand
Maintain up-to-date understanding of our industry and our clients to implement effective marketing and communication campaigns
Execute marketing campaigns, tracking and regular results reporting, gathering insights and opportunities
Help manage the BNY Mellon brand to ensure guidelines are applied and used consistently across marketing and communication activities
Improve workflow processes and eliminate inefficiencies
Work cross-functionally with all departments in the organization to help motivate and educate internal teams around marketing and communication campaign efforts
Participate in firm-wide diversity, equity and inclusion efforts
Prepare, present and sell-in aspects of the marketing plan and progress to management, cross-functional partners and other key stakeholders
Maintain strict deadlines, while maintaining accuracy
Additional responsibilities will be determined based on capacity, skill, and interest
A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications

3-5 years of professional work experience; marketing/ad agency experience preferred
Measurement focused - able to tie projects to success metrics and OKRs
Superb written and verbal communication skills; passionate about writing and digital communication
Experienced in social media platforms
Excellent project management, prioritization, and decision-making skills
Excellent attention-to-detail, highly organized
Innovative approach to marketing activity – seeking new tools and opportunities to market our solutions
Exceptional intrapersonal skills with a natural ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with peers, business partners and senior leadership
Experience coordinating multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Energetic, positive mindset with excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
Creative and rigorous approach to all projects
Bachelor’s degree preferred
