at Jobisite in Western Cape

Full Job Description
Specialising in watches, bags, gas guns and gifts, GGT is a brand looking to create a special experience for everyone that walks into our stores.
We are looking for a passionate and driven shop manager to join the GGT family at our store in Brackenfell.
If you want to join our team, these are some of the key areas that you will need to be responsible for:
Sales & Business Development
• Set & communicate daily sales targets to everyone on the team
• Focus the team on delivering excellent customer service
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
• Create relationships with regular customers
• Grow customer data base and communicate offers regularly
• Promoting products, services and content over social media
• Assist with creating content, including text posts, video and images for use on social media
• Engaging with customers on different channels on social media
• Use social media marketing tools to promote the business
Team Management
• Build a team environment through daily team meetings and providing regular feedback
• Lead and motivate the store team to maximize sales and provide exceptional customer service
• Master the feedback process & provide monthly feedback to all team members
• Develop the team through regular Customer Service, Loss Prevention and Sales training
• Assist with recruitment
• Ability to maximise and drive sales by identifying opportunities to increase turnover
• Manage the appraisal process for all team members
• Manage the induction process
• Ensure individual targets are met consistently
• Minimize and control staff costs and store controllable expenses (e.g., discounts given, petty cash, stationery, phone, cleaning, etc.) through proactive and effective management.
• Complete time sheets and allocate tasks to staff
• Coordinate weekly working roster and lunch breaks
Inventory
• Minimise shrinkage & maintain accurate stock records in the POS system
• Identify areas where there is a risk of shrinkage and implement controls to reduce risk
• Adhere to stock loss controls in store
• Complete daily cycle stock counts
• Complete quarterly stock counts
Daily Operations
• Oversee the administrative processes at store level and ensure compliance with all policies and standards with respect to the handling of cash, stock control, POS, visual merchandising, security and operational health and safety
• Responsible for accurately processing sales, exchange, and refund transactions at the cash desk, with proper operation of the POS system
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Maintain housekeeping, uphold visual merchandising standards in order to optimise sales
• Directly responsible for Loss Prevention and Operational compliance within store
• Manage and monitor Loss Prevention education and awareness programs
• Ensure consistently high standards of customer experience within the Store
• Create an inspiring environment. Have fun
• Open and close the store in line with operating hours
• Carry out physical inspection when opening and closing store
• Reconcile cash to end of day sales report
Month End
• Prepare month end reports

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• 2 years retail management experience
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• A valid ID/Passport
• Able to work flexible retail hours
• Experience with point of sale system
• Familiar with inventory control procedures
• Live within a reasonable travelling distance from the store
• Clear Criminal record
