Remote Front End Dev needs 6+ years of software engineering experience designing, developing testing and supporting software services in support of Web-based Frontend applications.

Remote Front End Dev requires:

JVM-based languages such as Java and Scala.
Development frameworks such as Spring Boot.
Database technologies such as SQL, Aurora, Redshift, Liquibase or Flyway.
No-SQL technologies such as Redis, MongoDB and Cassandra.
Unit-testing frameworks such as jUnit.
Performance testing frameworks such as Gatling.
Architectural concepts such as micro-services and separation of concerns.
In-depth knowledge of class-based, object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Development tools such as GitHub, Jira and Maven.
Cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
Data Center Operating Technologies such as Apache Mesos, Apache Aurora, and TerraForm and container services such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of DataDog for setting up monitoring and alerting dashboards.
Working knowledge of Jenkins or Concourse tool for CI/CD.
Experience with workflow logic tools like Camunda

Remote Front End Dev duties:

Work collaboratively as part of a software development team producing the code that matters to the students and teachers who use HMH products and services.
Writing, designing, testing, implementing, and maintaining Java code for backend development.
Enhancing workflow logic using Camunda.
Resolve performance issues, performance of the Read 180 systems.
Setting up Monitor Dashboards and Alerts using DataDog to proactively catch issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
