Quality Assurance Technician

Ampex is a small, fast paced, growing aerospace company looking for new teammates.

Ampex is looking for a highly skilled and organized Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our team. The QA Technician is primarily focused on avionics and flight test equipment.
This position is open onsite in Hayward, CA.

Principle Duties
• Performs workmanship inspections per IPC 610 and IPC 620 other related specifications
• Performs receiving inspection of all purchased and fabricated parts
• Performs in-process and Final QA inspection, prepare FAIR reports
• Prepares inspection reports for received materials
• Inspects Fiber Optic cable
• Addresses issues when they arise aiming for minimal disruption
• Assists RMA processing
• Performs other duties and responsibilities when required such as:
o Prepares and packages all Production product and/or other items for shipment.
o Prepares FedEx, UPS, and international documentation necessary for shipment.

Qualifications:
• 3+ Years of related electronics work experience
• Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 standard manufacturing practices
• Ability to read and understand test procedures and schematics
• Clear communication
• Multitasking ability is a must

This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be “U.S. persons” within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
