Overview:
Congressman Dan Kildee’s re-election campaign is looking to hire multiple full-time field organizers to work across the
newly-drawn Michigan’s 8th Congressional District.
Job Description:
Field Organizers will work closely with coalition partners, local elected officials, volunteer leaders, and campaign fellows
to plan, recruit for, and execute both in-person and remote voter contact events. Field organizers report directly to the
Organizing Director.
Responsibilities include:
● Hitting call goals and volunteer recruitment and training targets
● Maintaining accurate records of volunteer contact attempts and engagement
● Preparing canvassing and phone banking materials ahead of in-person and remote event launches
● Hosting phone banks and canvasses
● Distributing campaign materials to volunteer leaders and local elected officials
● Attending in-person and remote Democratic and grassroots events as representatives of the campaign

Required Skills | All applicants must have the ability to:
● Organize and coordinate large groups of people to accomplish shared goals
● Multitask and prioritize the most important projects in the face of shifting deadlines
● Build relationships with voters and volunteers around shared values and personal trust and accountability
● Learn, adapt to, and improve internal processes and procedures
● Physically work in the new MI-08 and have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Preferred Skills | Preference will be given to applicants who have:
● Experience using VoteBuilder/VAN or other CRM tools
● Proven dedication to public service and/or attaining electoral victories for Democratic candidates
● Personal ties and/or experience in the state of Michigan, in mid-Michigan, or in the district
● Past campaign experience
Compensation:
● Salary of $4,000/month
● Excellent health, dental, and vision insurance
