Overview
We are seeking a motivated, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) analyst/tester to support a Government customer. The successful candidate can develop, implement, and maintain an IV&V program to independently test, demonstrate, inspect, and analyze the functionality Government software applications.
Responsibilities
· Participates in and supports the IV&V activities that provide independent assessments of the system development/implementation/M&O project and its governance.
· Evaluate application code against Government security and code quality standards and policies to include architecture and design guidance and best practices.
· Utilize continuous/automated code scanning/inspection tools and manual review of trouble tickets/incidents to evaluate code quality.
· Identify potential risks and issues to project success; identify causes of risks and issues.
· Provide actionable recommendations that can be used by the project team to resolve issues and avoid risks
· Determine the focus of data collection and analysis for monthly and quarterly reporting
· Facilitate and attend and project meetings to collect project information and data, understand project activities, and gain project insights
· Interview technical team members and Federal managers to collect project information and data, understand project activities, and gain project insights
· Participate in the analysis of project information and data collected
· Participate in the development of required project deliverables
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· Extensive knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 12007, IEEE 1012, and testing for 508 compliance
· Experience with both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum environments is highly desired
· Analytical skills to understand project's scope and approach
· Ability to work well independently and in team settings
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
· 4+ years of experience providing IV&V testing support
· Preferred experience working with Federal Government Agencies
· Bachelor’s or advanced degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines
· Previous IT experience
· Strong technical skills
· Strong data analysis skills
