Business System Analyst needs Data Strategy/ 7+ years of experience working at an Asset or Investment Manager, Broker or Custodian.
Business System Analyst requires:
BS / BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related technical area.
7+ years of experience working at an Asset or Investment Manager, Broker or Custodian.
Knowledge of Equities / Fixed Income / Derivatives / Private Assets processing in portfolio accounting platforms like Eagle Pace / Goldensource / Frontinvest.
Knowledge of Master Data Platforms like Goldensource / Markit EDM.
Knowledge of Data Governance workflows in tools like Collibra.
Knowledge of the Asset Management business with specific emphasis on Data warehouse / Reporting, Middle office operations, Securities trading, Settlement and Portfolio management.
Ability to write complex SQL to query large data sets.
Ability to document current and target state business functional workflows using tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint.
Experience with Web Services and real-time event driven Data Integration is a plus.
Knowledge of Snowflake / Cloud data warehouses (i.e. Parquet / AWS S3 / Delta Lake) is a big plus
Ability to query databases and mine files to support business processes.

Business System Analyst duties:
Oversees the analysis of business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions.
Work with limited oversight, this job reviews that designed system solutions are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture.
Work as part of an IT development team with other technology leaders, development staff and technical/business analysts to create technical solutions.
Communicate progress, technical issues, and issue resolution
Deliver end to end application solution components on time and within budget that meet the stated business needs, and conform to IT methodologies and Data Management practices.
Translates business requirements into application requirements, and works with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
Engages client teams and explains moderately complex initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
Participates in delivery of fully tested applications or components of more complex applications for System and Acceptance Testing.
Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
Able to work evenings and weekends to support production releases and break fix.
