Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualifications:
The company has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Manager. The position provides an opportunity to execute space-based and intelligence programs for civil and national security customers while leading efforts to capture new business in related fields with new customers. This could include exploring emerging technologies like quantum physics-based communications and sensing. The candidate will have deep qualifications managing and leading teams, an understanding of DOD and IC acquisition processes, and experience managing defense industrial base program management and capture management processes.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
• Uses proposal plans and strategies to lead team in developing, defining, and implementing cohesive, integrated program/product, subcontractor, and material plans and business plans that achieve overall current and long term objectives of the program/product, business unit, and division
• Identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns major program roles

IDEAL CANDIDATE


This position is driven by both new business need and existing customer.
We are looking for someone dynamic, that is comfortable in grey area. This will be shifting our business model to new ways of doing things in the Space Industry. Experience in Space Business Development a STRONG PLUS!

The person needs to be Confident – spends time talking to the area director and understand his wants and needs – confident and secure enough to make decisions on the wants and needs
.
2nd strong familiarity and comfort in the defense industrial space. Without this and the candidate doesn’t know the processes all the well, steps on landmines…. Someone comfortable w Process around defense project and programs.

Expertise building things…. Hard ware is a plus SPACE Hardware is a big plus. He sells a lot of software
For the Scottsdale person – space electronics / defense strongly desired.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary):

5. Experience managing defense industrial base program management and capture management processes.
6. Experience in Space Business Development a STRONG PLUS!
7. Significant understanding of business and supply chain strategy
8. Significant knowledge of government contracting practices and regulations regarding acquisition
9. Ability to develop and implement a product-oriented WBS and WBS Dictionary
10. Working Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
11. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
