Junior Aviation Finance Associate

Prominent multi-state Law firm is seeking a Junior Level Aviation Finance savvy Associate Attorney (JD class of 2017, 2018 or 2019) to join its expanding New York team.

Candidate Must have the following: Experience as an aviation finance savvy associate attorney within a major law firm setting (experience will be current or very recent) ; Minimal employment changes since graduation ; Experience representing financial institutions, aircraft lessors, airlines and private investors in financing, leasing, securitization, acquisition and disposition of aircrafts ; Experience representing clients in transactions involving the financing of commercial aircraft and aircraft equipment ; Ability to perform legal research primarily in aviation finance-related contexts.

Stellar academic credentials (Law Review and/or Moot Court accolades desired) ; Strong drafting and negotiating skills, as well as excellent verbal & written communication skills required ; New York Bar.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Representing a diverse clientele to include financial institutions, aircraft lessors, airlines and private investors in financing, leasing, securitization, acquisition and disposition of aircrafts.

-Representing clients in transactions involving the financing of billions worth of commercial aircraft and aircraft equipment.

-Aiding clients in areas to include leveraged leases, operating leases, cross-border transactions, sale-leasebacks, securitization of lease portfolios, enhanced pass-through certificates and export credit-agency supported loans.

-Participating in a variety of aviation-related capital markets transactions, including public offerings, Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings and private placements of common stock, preferred stock, convertible securities, debt and pass-through certificates.
