VMware Administrator

at Jobisite in Manila

The engagement period is for a period of twelve (12) months renewable. The following are the minimum skills required:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related area or equivalent.
• Must have relevant work experience in supporting the Vmware family of products in clustered environments for high availability, including performance tuning.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in the area of Vmware.
• Must have relevant experience in developing custom operation scripts for day-to-day Vmware operations.
• Independently resolve tickets & Ensure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team
• Knowledge and experience with following VMware products:
o VMware ESXi
o vSphere vCenter (multiple vCenters in linked mode)
o vSphere Update Manager
o vSphere Site Recovery Manager
o vSphere Replication
o VMware PowerCLI and Powershell
• Knowledge and experience working on Enterprise Virtual Infrastructures with understanding on areas:
o SAN and Fiber Channel communications
o Ethernet, Subneting, Routing and VLAN (including experience handling VMware distributed switches). Networking concepts like routing is a “Must to have”.
o Troubleshooting ESXi host and connectivity issues (Storage or Networking)
o Virtual Infrastructure Backup solutions, Snapshots, and vCenter integrations with 3d party tools.
• Desirable to understand Hardware technologies such as:
o HP servers, their management tools and operations
o Nutanix servers, their management tools and operations
• Other ‘good to have’ skills:
o Experience to develop automation scripts in PowerShell
o Azure experience with products like:
 Azure Migration
 Azure Site Recovery Manager
 Azure VMs
