Founded in 2008, Abatement Pro, Inc’s crews have removed over a million square feet of Asbestos Containing Fireproofing and many of the other 3,000 asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM’s) commonly found. The founder Mike Coffey applies his industry experience dating back to 1992 servicing hospitals, schools, homes, and businesses where the quality of work and attention to detail is paramount. Abatement Pro is the Abatement firm of choice for the State of Idaho. Abatement Pro is looking to continue to build the best abatement team in Southern Idaho.
Prerequisites
Ability to operate construction equipment & tools
Ability to lift 50 lbs. unaided, stand, and climb on ladders, roofs
Ability to follow oral instructions promptly and accurately
Ability to work in disagreeable conditions
Ability to perform strenuous physical labor
Ability to work as an effective team member
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships
Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
Ability to receive constructive feedback
Essential Functions
Assemble containment, seal off work areas, using plastic sheeting and duct tape.
Position portable air evacuation and filtration system inside the work area.
Cut, scrape and remove asbestos, using a knife and scraper.
Assists in demolition and deconstruction activities of buildings interior and exterior.
Shovel asbestos or debris into plastic disposal bags and seal bags, using duct tape.
Clean and maintain tools.
Responsible for keeping the site and grounds clean and neat.
Perform daily equipment checks.
Perform work safely in accordance with company safety procedures and operate equipment safely.
Report any unsafe work condition/s or practices to the supervisor.
Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned.
Must be willing to travel (75% of the time overnight stays required) and willing to work 40+ hours on an as-needed basis.
Compensation
5 holidays paid if worked (New Year’s, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas)
Competitive salary based on experience
