PA/Office Manager

Our client, Oak & Hardwood Emporium have been designing and building beautiful extensions and stand-alone structures for over 25 years. They work with their clients to turn their vision into reality. They manage everything from initial designs to the final construction of oak framed, painted hardwood or traditional brick-built buildings.
They are currently recruiting a PA/Office Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great team to build their new office in Watford.
This is a demanding role for a knowledgeable, dynamic, and highly organised individual.
You will be required to implement and manage office systems and processes to support the delivery of high-quality service to directors, colleagues, and clients.
You will work closely with all departments to ensure support is provided to agreed standards.
As a successful candidate, you will
Provide efficient support service to Directors
Liaise with the Project Coordinator and other staff to provide administrative support as required.
Maintain all supplies for the office including stationery, refreshments, consumable
Manage all visitors and deliveries to the office
Manage all office equipment and furniture including IT equipment, photocopiers, shredding etc
Responsible (alongside Directors) for Health & Safety within the office including performing the role of Chief Fire Marshall and First Aider (training will be provided)
Budget control for all office related purchasing and management of company credit card
Maintain the general hygiene and appearance of the office including any COVID related measures
Work closely with the Directors to ensure all legal requirements for management of the office are in place
Be responsive and accommodating to the needs of the staff acting as the first point of contact for all office-related queries
Assist with other tasks as required.
Person Specification:
At least five years of experience working in a similar role
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Highly motivated with excellent communication skills
Self-starter with strong organisational skills
Experience in managing an office will be highly advantageous
Ability to develop trust and build strong relations with colleagues and clients/vendors
Awareness of office Health &Safety requirements will be advantageous
Must live within 30 miles of Watford
