Full-time Community Manager

at Jobisite in Philippines

We are launching a brand-new platform that will host a global community of software companies and key-players in the software ecosystem to accelerate their growth. The platform is a spin off start-up project from MediaDev, an established international IT marketing firm headquartered in Paris, France. From branch offices in Italy, Manila and Legazpi MediaDev provides marketing services to software vendors around the world. From small tech start-ups to large corporations like Microsoft and Amazon.

Who we are looking for:

In order to successfully build an active and engaged community on our platform we are looking for a community manager to join the team. We envision our community manager to have hands on experience with both digital marketing and community management and a profound interest in Software and Technology. In this position you will be responsible for creating awareness for the platform online, keeping platform members engaged and encourage them to contribute to the community, and guard the quality of content posted in the community. To achieve this you will work with various internal stakeholders such as marketing outreach teams, product development, and general management.

The responsibilities for this position include:

- Creating exposure for the platform among software vendors globally through digital marketing channels like social media, PR, email, advertising and search engines
- Ensuring that the forum (which is part of the community) is supplied with posts that encourage platform members to respond or post on their own
- Identifying and onboarding expert community contributors that add value to the community of software vendors from their area of expertise (e.g. a lawyer that helps software companies with registering their IP)
- Implementing strategies to engage and retain platform members. It is paramount that platform members that sign up, are drawn back regularly and contribute over time
- Providing recommendations on improving the platform to support community engagement goals
- Monitoring and reporting on the KPIs

The qualifications we require for this position are:

- Flexible, positive and results-oriented attitude, works well with changing timelines and priorities and can proactively manage up. Works with a sense of urgency and makes efforts to motivate others towards common goals
- 3+ years of experience in a B2B community management role or 5+ years of experience in B2B digital marketing with a community management component
- Native-level English written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to develop content to create awareness externally and trigger engagement on-platform
- A deep understanding of B2B marketing strategies and principles to attract various target audiences to the platform
- Self-starter who identifies areas of opportunity and takes ownership of the role
- Highly organized and capable of reporting on various campaign developments independently

Not required but a plus:

- Experience working as a community manager for a B2B software product or marketplace
- Experience in a marketing or consultancy agency working as a community manager or product manager
- Experience building a community from scratch
