Job Description
PeopleReady ofRiverside has an immediate opening for General Helpers in Perris, CA.
The job duties of aGeneral Laborvary, sometimes even day-to-day at the same site. They may include cleaning and preparing a jobsite, loading and delivering materials; using different tools and machines, such as blowtorches; driving forklifts; reading levels; operating lifts; and manning power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment. Laborers set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures. They help carpenters, masons, and other specialized contractors.
Labors and helpers work in all fields of construction, commercial jobs, and other businesses, and the demand for these workers should mirror the level of overall activity. We would love to add more General Labor like you.
Pay Rate for this Job is $17.10/Hour
Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day)
Responsibilities Include:

• Perform assembly-type functions using hand and power tools (without supervision)
• Ensure Quality Standards are met
• Move materials using a hand cart and or pallet jack
• Basic computer skills
• Pressure washing
• Shop clean up
• Perform light welding tasks (roof discs, door tracks) and simple fabrication
• Weld plastic (roofs/panels)
• Perform simple cutting operations with oxy/fuel equipment
• Adhere to all safety policies and safely perform all tasks, including adherence to OSHA regulations
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• These positions require associates to have a working knowledge of hand tools, drills, grinders, etc.
• Need to understand how to read a ruler.
• Candidates who have basic carpentry experience or auto body repair are ideal.
• Candidates will use hand tools during most of the shift.
• Also comfortable using a 4ft ladder and lifting 50lbs consistently.

Background Check Required

Normal shift hours are Monday - Friday 0600 - 1430. Currently, associates should commit to working Monday - Friday 0600 - 1630 AND 0600-1430 on Saturday. They do not work every Saturday just when it is necessary.
