Full-time Retail General Manager

at Jobisite in Tennessee

The General Manager develops, leads, and coaches their respective store staff to consistently deliver all the components of the Twice Daily offer and culture to maximize the guest experience. Has total accountability for the efficient and profitable operation of their Twice Daily store.

Primary Responsibilities
- Ensures “best in class” service is extended to all Tri Star guests.
- Takes a lead role in delivering the programs necessary to maximize the guest experience.
- Possesses a strong passion for the Twice Daily offering and culture.
- Engages in educating the guest about the Twice Daily “fresh all day” offer.
- Provides leadership and direction to the Twice Daily store management team.
- Acts as role model for all elements of the Twice Daily culture and core values.
- Is responsible for the creation of the environment necessary to support the store culture.
- Attracts, recruits, interviews, and hires staff aligned with the Twice Daily culture and values.
- Trains, retains, motivates, and leads a capable store team.
- Provides daily coaching to individual staff on their roles in delivering the Twice Daily store culture and values.
- Works with fellow colleagues as a member of the team.
- Remains intimately knowledgeable of the Twice Daily products/services/procedures.
- Assumes the role of Twice Daily Host as needed.
- Works opposite hours as the Assistant GM.
- Provides ongoing feedback to the District Manager based on guest experience and comments.
- Maintains adequate staffing levels to ensure compliance with the Twice Daily standards of business readiness.
- Is responsible for the timely execution of the Twice Daily Marketing Plan.
- Ensures all “fresh all day” products are produced, merchandised, and maintained according to Twice Daily standards.
- Ensures that the daily financials are reconciled and processed (ensuring completion of back office functions).
- Ensures all required inventory levels, freshness and product rotation standards are maintained.
- Maintains all Twice Daily interior and exterior image standards.
- Willingly accepts direction and executes the necessary changes required in a timely manner.
- Ensures all required health and safety policies are met.
- Maintains confidentiality of all company, client, employee, and vendor information.
- Reacts productively to change.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises all team members within their store. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable employment and labor laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving any complaints and/or issues.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associates degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- A minimum of three (3) years of retail operations assistant manager-level experience
- Experience in a C-Store and/or food service environments is preferred
- Or, any equivalent combination of education and experience in job-related activities

Other Skills
- Ability to speak, hear, see, and sit
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Good problem solving, analytical, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
- Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
- Good attention to detail and judgement
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work effectively with others and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to concentrate, think, and learn.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Position is in a convenience store setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions.
- Position includes prolonged periods of standing and movement throughout the store, as well as exposure to gasoline fumes, cleaning products, and other similar hazards.
- Medium to light-heavy work that includes moving objects up to 75 lbs.
