Full-time Construction Project Manager

The Company:
Our client is the leading Western US petroleum contractor for petroleum dispensing equipment. This company is firmly established with a solid market position and reputation as an award-winning petroleum systems firm - servicing 19+ states and specializing in the construction/servicing of fleet fueling facilities, aviation, retail service stations, convenience stores, marinas.

Your Role:
The Project Manager will coordinate construction estimates, scheduling, materials, and purchase orders for a variety of fuel system related projects. This position will require maintaining strong customer and subcontractor relationships along with a strong understanding in construction concepts, practices and procedures.

The Area:
Las Vegas, in Nevada’s Mojave Desert, is a resort town famed for its buzzing energy, 24-hour casinos and endless entertainment options. Established in 1905, Las Vegas was incorporated as a city in 1911. At the close of the 20th century, Las Vegas was the most populous American city founded in that century (a similar distinction earned by Chicago in the 19th century). Its focal point is the Strip, just over 4 miles long and lined with elaborate theme hotels such as the pyramid-shaped Luxor and the Venetian, complete with Grand Canal; luxury resorts including the Bellagio, set behind iconic dancing fountains; and innumerable casinos.

The Requirements:
Overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals
Prepare estimates for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Conduct pre-bid site visits
Lead the planning and implementation of project
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
Define project tasks and resource requirements
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
Assemble and coordinate project staff
Monitors productivity and cost and recommends changes in order to mitigate problems and maintain maximum labor, productivity and cost effectiveness. Reports project status to ensure profitability goals and management of cash/cost/billing
Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
Project evaluations and assessment of results
Travel to job sites as required (20-80%)
Minimum experience/background in project management and/or estimating of 2-5 years in fuel system industry. UST, AST systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent computer skills
Experience with scheduling software, preferably Microsoft Project
Knowledge of job costing and project estimating principles and practices
