Position Overview: Provide analyst support to the Acquisitions Policy Unit.

• Perform, and/or support the recommendation, development, testing, and implementation of changes to program objectives, operations, and resource usage in an effort to resolve problems, to provide balanced program operations, and to achieve maximum effectiveness.

•Write detailed reports and decision documents on policy development, updates or deviation to existing policies for executive review.

•Perform, and/or support the analysis and evaluation of actual or potential effect of current or projected operating systems and programs in achieving targeted objectives.

•Review, edit and publish documentation and policy updates provided by executive management.

•Communicate with government agency managers and SMEs, research issues, document information, analyze content and draw conclusions or propose scenarios for discussion among management that can result in policy formation, etc.

•Assist executive team with detailed spreadsheet tracking, communication planning, tracking and any follow-up required.

•Assist in the development of presentation packages and other senior level administrative tasks as required.

•Compile or develop statistical information to aid in decision making by running reports and analysis of report data

•Review of program related data from several sources and analysis of alternative presentations to program managers.

•Excellent customer service

•Monitoring of incoming email for the Government Purchase Card Program and providing correct and timely resolution

•Generating, tracking, and disseminating certificates, warrants and other documentation

•Assisting Program Managers as required

•Support for all aspects of daily program activities

•Support for new and changing programs

•Support DEA’s Government Purchase Card Program by assisting with:

• Transition to Smart Pay 3 program and systems
• Revise Handbook
• Maintain Quality Assurance Metrics
• O&M support for over 400 card holders
•Support of DEA’s Acquisition Career Management Program by:
• New Limited (Field) Contracting Officer Warrants
• COR level 1 transition I
• Contracting Officer Representative (COR)
• Acquisition Delegation and Warrant Management
• Assistance with Audit tracking
•U. S. Citizen

•Active Secret Clearance; must be able to pass Agency Background Check

•Valid U. S. Driver’s License

•B. S. degree from accredited institution. (Seven years’ experience may be substituted for degree).

•Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the development and monitoring of corporate policies and procedures designed to provide management control of system development activities, including analysis of current procedures and policies to determine continued applicability.

•Experience in Government Contracting is preferred

•Acquisitions and Procurement experience is a plus

•Strong attention to detail

•Ability to quickly learn about Government Programs

•High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite to include Excel and Power Point and Government computer systems

•Solid written and verbal communication skills. (May be asked to provide writing samples.)

•Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions

•Ability to interface professionally with all levels of management and support personnel to achieve results

•Polished presentation skills to initiate effective communication relative to policy, procedures, operations, events, etc.

•Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and deadlines

•Ability to plan and develop user communications, documentation, and job aides

Employment is contingent upon contract award.
